OFF BOX Studios (“OFF BOX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects intellectual property rights. This policy explains how to report material on a website, game service, or other online property controlled by OFF BOX that you believe infringes copyright, and how to submit a counter-notice.

Important: The contact below is OFF BOX’s copyright contact for receiving reports. This page does not represent that OFF BOX has registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. A registration, if completed, will be reflected here and in the Copyright Office directory.

1. Before sending a notice

Please consider whether the disputed use may be authorized by the copyright owner, licensed, or permitted by law, including an applicable exception or limitation. Copyright notices and counter-notices are legal communications. You may wish to obtain legal advice before submitting one.

2. Copyright infringement notice

To report claimed infringement, send a written notice that includes substantially all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed or, for multiple works on one site, a representative list.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it, including the exact URL or in-game location where possible.
  4. Your full name and contact information reasonably sufficient for us to reach you, including an email address and, where available, a mailing address and telephone number.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

3. What happens after a notice

We may request additional information, forward the notice to the person responsible for the material, remove or disable access to the material, and take other action we consider appropriate. We may also provide a copy of the notice to relevant platform providers, service providers, or legal authorities when reasonably necessary.

4. Counter-notice

If material you provided was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that happened by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice containing substantially all of the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable U.S. Federal District Court for your address, or, if your address is outside the United States, a judicial district in which the relevant service provider may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

5. Restoration

Where the U.S. DMCA process applies, we may send a valid counter-notice to the original claimant. The material may be restored after the statutory waiting period unless the claimant informs us that it has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity. Other laws or platform rules may require a different process.

6. Repeat infringement

Where appropriate and in suitable circumstances, OFF BOX may restrict or terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe copyright. We may also act on clear infringement independently of this notice process.

7. Misrepresentations

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may result in liability under applicable law. Do not submit fraudulent, abusive, or misleading claims.
